We isolate at the main instead, replace the valve, and carry on. It adds $70–$130 and about half an hour. In older Nepean homes we assume it is a possibility and price the quote so there are no surprises.
Can you install grab bars in a tiled bathroom?
Yes. Tile gets drilled with the right bit at low speed and the penetrations sealed. Where there is no framing in the right spot we use a load-rated anchor system rather than moving the bar somewhere less useful.
